Lift installation at CASE

It doesn't get bigger than this

on BBC One's DIY SOS: Homes for Veterans

We were delighted to be asked by the DIY SOS team to supply and fit a specialised Pollock Platform Lift for veteran, Lamin Manneh who lost both of his legs and his left arm after stepping on an IED on New Year's Day 2011 when he was an Irish Guard in Afghanistan.

He and his family will move into one of 26 previously boarded up houses on Canada Street in Manchester, in a joint effort by a charity, a housing association, the council and the BBC's DIY SOS programme to re-house veterans.

The lift we installed allows Lamin to move upstairs easily, allowing him access to the whole house and be able to read his children their bedtime stories.

The ambitious project will see an entire street in Manchester rejuvenated for Armed Forces veterans in just three weeks by the BBC's DIY SOS team.
