Client Requirements

The client is a young woman with severe arthritis, who is finding it increasingly difficult to manage steps and has a prognosis of becoming a wheelchair user in the next few years. We have also installed an internal through floor lift for her.  The brief from the local authority was to provide a safe means for the client to enter and exit the property, steps for other ambulant users and space for wheelie bin storage.

Pollock Lifts were able to do this because we are the only company that manufacture an adjacent entry lift which can travel up to 2.0m. No other lift could have been fitted in this situation.

The space in the garden is limited. The difference in levels between pavement and garden is approximately 1400mm and the pavement is sloping severely. We were able to redesign the front garden completely to accommodate the brief from the local authority.

Pollock lifts carried out all the building work for the lift installation as per plan, including the low threshold door and frame, power supply and alterations to the front garden.
