The Irish Open is a professional golf tournament on the European Tour. It was first played in 1927 and was played annually, except for the war years, until 1950. There was a tournament in 1953, but the event was then not played again until revived in 1975. It has been contested annually since then.
The 2018 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Hosted by the Rory Foundation was played at Ballyliffin Golf Club, Co Donegal, 4th – 8th July and was attended by over 80,000 spectators.
