Pollock Lifts is thrilled to be providing disabled access to Ireland’s biggest golf tournament. Golfers from around the world, including Rory McIlory, will be swinging into action at The K Club on the 19th May.
The Irish Open was first played in 1927 until 1950, excluding the war years. With the exception of 1953 the event was not played again until 1975. Ever since then the event has been played annually.
This year the tournament is being held at The K club, a golf and leisure complex located at Straffan, County Kildare, Ireland. The Straffan estate is maintained to a high standard, which includes the Straffan House built in the 1830s.
Once again we have shown that we are capable of providing and installing lifts to cater for large events, as we have done in the past with the Cheltenham Festival and the Irish Open last year at Royal County Down, with many more to follow.
